Z = 79 – Almach in Gold

The metal that does not corrode..
The symbol that never fades.
Gold: atomic number 79.

In an age of transition, of searching for meaning and of reconnecting with what really matters, Almach Art Gallery presents “Atomic Number 79 – Almach in Gold”, a group exhibition that explores gold not only as a material, but as an archetype: a symbol of eternity, power and purification

Nine artists — Salvador Aulestia, Corrado Ferrante, Daniela Gullotta, Max Marra, Kyoji Nagatani, Elia Panori, Anna Pennati, Lucio Perna, Anna Spagna — nine works that engage with this noble metal, exploring its many facets: physical, symbolic, philosophical, esoteric, alchemical and even quantum.

Max Marra Oriente+Occidente

Anna Pennati Sublimazione altrove

🔹 Gold as a material: works in gold leaf, resins, mixed metals, and light installations that highlight its reflectivity, density and preciousness. 🔹 Gold as a symbol: representations of power, deities, coins, crowns — but also of emptiness, illusion, and accumulation. 🔹 Gold as an alchemical archetype: the process of the soul’s transformation, from lead to inner gold.
