THE BLACK SERIES by ANNA PENNATI

5 wooden sculptures, totally white, represent instead the Dryads, nymphs of the trees, with their sinuous forms that indeed should be observed in their "empty" spaces. The air ideally imprisoned between the forms creates new figures that, because of their intangibility, penetrate more easily into our thoughts by reaching directly into the sensitive worlds, without going through "material" processing.
We are pleased to present this event that will feature the exclusive world premiere of Anna Pennati's works entitled The Black Series.
These works embrace the essence of design and were therefore exhibited during the "Fuorisalone - milano design week 2022" at Almach Art Gallery in Italy and at our Tiers Gallery location in Tokyo.

9 mixed techniques on paper, then applied on canvas, make up the Black Series: from an intense black background, which attracts and hypnotizes us, leading us to isolate ourselves from our surroundings, white shapes appear, representing objects from distant worlds, but which we find in our unconscious, which then communicates with them, perceiving their sounds and vibrations, creating a unique fantastic harmony.
In the latest works, forms, colors and lines chase each other continuously, sometimes "collaborating," sometimes "excluding" each other to arrive at works where the search is directed at the archetype of ideas. The works are thus the essential expression of thought and dialogue with the viewer both visually and mentally, slowly allowing themselves to be perceived.
